Kiszla: Sefo Liufau needs to play a bit faster and "let it fly"

BOULDER —

The crummiest job in sports might be quarterback of a bad football team. So if you want to see a cold-hearted analysis of the work Sefo Liufau has done as QB of the Colorado Buffaloes, you will have to go elsewhere. All I want to see is a winning smile return to the face of Liufau.

Since taking the reins of the offense during a 54-13 loss at Arizona State nearly two years ago, Liufau has displayed every positive personal trait anyone could want in a quarterback. Living by the laws that would do any Boy Scout proud, Liufau is trustworthy, loyal, courteous, brave and reverent, even as the Buffs have dropped 16-of-20 games and became the first CU team in 99 years to endure a conference schedule without a single victory.
