BOULDER, Colo. - Colorado soccer player Sarah Kinzner returned home to Canada earlier this week with a silver medal after leading her home country on the pitch at the 2015 CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Championship in Honduras. The native of Calgary, Alberta, just finished her freshman season at CU this fall.
In Honduras, Kinzner scored two goals and started all five matches for Canada, leading the team to a 3-1-1 record as the Canadians outscored their opponents 11-1 in the tournament. She stood out as one of the top players on the team.
"I was one of the more senior girls on the team so that definitely gave me the opportunity to be a role model to some of the younger players and help them out.
