Karl Dorrell’s inaugural season with the CU Buffs finally has a start date. And a dance partner in Week 1 with a familiar feel.
The first-year Buffs football coach will open the season at home on Nov. 7 against UCLA, the Pac-12 announced on Saturday morning as part of a league-wide schedule release of an abbreviated, coronavirus-shortened 2020 slate.
Dorrell’s last head-coaching job in college football was with the Bruins, with whom he posted a 35-27 record from 2003-07.
CU will play three games at home and three on the road, with a seventh league game slated for the third week of December either taking place in the conference championship or against a North division foe to be determined the week prior.
