BOULDER — When CU Buffs athletic director Rick George found out last week that Karl Dorrell was building a home in Colorado, he knew he had his man.
“You’re going to get the very best from me,” Dorrell said Monday during a news conference that introduced him as the Buffaloes’ 27th full-time head coach. “You’re going to get a guy who’s here for the long haul.”
Dorrell and his wife, Kim, had recently decided to build a home along the Front Range and had planned to retire here, the coach revealed Monday, regardless of where his career path led them.
