BOULDER — The long shots can turn a long shot into a spoiler in March.
Colorado (21-9, 10-7 Pac-12) knows it will have to rely heavily upon its 3-point shooters — currently the most efficient in the league at 39.7 percent — to continue to find the bottom of the net from long range if it wants to make noise during college basketball's most important month.
Few are more important to that effort than Josh Fortune, who scored a team-high 17 points and hit 3-of-5 shots from 3-point range in the Buffs' 79-69 victory over Arizona State on Sunday.
