BOULDER — University of Colorado runner Dani Jones has been named the 2018 Collegiate Women's Athlete of the Year by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
Jones will be honored at the 55th annual Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 3, at the Hilton Denver City Center with the other award winners, which include former CU running back Phillip Lindsay, who was named the Professional Athlete of the Year for 2018.
The Phoenix, Ariz. native had an outstanding senior cross country season, winning the 2018 NCAA individual championship while leading the Buffaloes to the team championships; CU's first women's title since 2004.
