BOULDER —Over a week has passed since University of Colorado senior Dani Jones won the 2018 NCAA individual cross country championships, and honors are still coming in as she was just named a finalist for the Honda Award for Cross Country.
The Phoenix, Ariz. native, won the NCAA individual cross country crown on November 17 and helped the CU women's team to the NCAA team title for the first time in 14 years. Jones, who recorded her second straight Pac-12 individual cross country championships in October, out-kicked Weini Kelati (New Mexico) down the final stretch to win the NCAA title.
