BOULDER – With a 5,000-meter NCAA National Championship in her back pocket, Colorado's Dani Jones begins her summer track season this Sunday in the 2019 Nike Prefontaine Classic at 3:31 p.m. MT.
The junior is set to compete in her second 1,500-meter race this season having qualified with her personal best 4:07.33 that she ran last June in the Portland Track Festival. Last season she won the USATF high performance section at the Pre Classic with a 4:07.74, then paced the Diamond League section the night after through 800 meters.
The race will feature 14 of the top women in the world, including recent Oregon alum Jessica Hull.
