Ola Johansen (men's skiing) and Annika Jank (women's basketball) have been named this week's UCHealth CU Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances last week.
Johansen, a junior from Norway, owned this weekend's FIS event at Vail Mountain. He won two slalom races and collected two more podium finishes in the giant slalom. In his first slalom race, Johensen edged out University of Denver's Alex Leever, a U.S. Ski Team member, for first place. Johansen then posted a time of 46.23 in Friday's second slalom race, giving him the win over Dartmouth's Nef Tanguy by just over a tenth of a second.
