The biggest physical setback the Colorado men's basketball team suffered at the Pac-12 Conference tournament last week is on the mend.
Head coach Tad Boyle was forced to coach with a walking boot covering his right calf during the Buffs' season finale against Arizona in the league quarterfinals. Boyle was injured a day earlier while rushing the floor to help break up a late-game skirmish between the Buffs and Arizona State, suffering what he reported at the time was a torn calf muscle.
Back in Boulder this week, Boyle reported the tear has been downgraded to a sprain and that his limp already is evaporating.
