COLFAX, Wash. — The top-ranked University of Colorado men’s cross country team claimed its fifth straight Pac-12 Championship on Friday morning at Colfax Golf Club, defeating No. 23 Stanford, 46-57.
CU led for the majority of the meet. Coming through the first 2-kilometers of the 8k race, CU was up 33-67 over No. 3 Oregon, which would eventually take third overall. The pack of runners was very tight through the first half, which was to be expected in the strong field that featured six ranked programs.
With 2k remaining, the Buffs had a 47-60 advantage over the Cardinal.
