FRESNO – Despite a large delay of nearly four hours when the track lost power and lights, Colorado track and field senior Eduardo Herrera broke the men's 1,500-meter run school record at the West Coast Relays late Friday night.
In what could be argued one of the fastest NCAA 1,500-meter run in the month of April ever, Herrera finished sixth as Sam Prakel for Adidas took the win in 3:36.86. In total there were nine collegiate men that finished under 3:40.
The women's 1,500 invite was another one that changed the record books for the Buffs as Micaela Degenero finished fourth in 4:12.
