SAN FRANCISCO – Colorado track and field senior Eduardo Herrera was named the Pac-12 Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Herrera led the Buffs at the Colorado Invitational, winning the 1,500-meter run in 3:44.46, more than eight seconds faster than the next fastest runner. His altitude converted time of 3:39.11 leads the NCAA West Region and is fourth in the NCAA.
Herrera becomes just the fourth CU male athlete to earn the honor, joining Joe Klecker, Joe Morris and Alex Kizirian. He is the 10th CU athlete to earn the honor since joining the Pac-12 and earns the Buffs 13th honor.
