HBO Sports is launching a new program this October with an all-access view of four college football programs in-season. Two of them from the Pac-12 — Arizona State and Washington — as well historical powers Penn State and Florida. The series will chronicle teams during the week of right up to gameday.
According to the network, the “four-part, limited college football series will document the lives of head coaches Dan Mullen (Florida), James Franklin (Penn State), Herm Edwards (Arizona State) and Mike Leach (Washington State), players, assistant coaches and more over one week during the regular season.” It will be shot and edited like HBO’s smash hit “Hard Knocks”, a look inside a selected NFL franchise.
