PALM DESERT, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team slipped two spots into fourth place here Thursday, after completion of the second round of the Wyoming Cowboy Intercollegiate.
Host Wyoming turned in the best single round team score of the event – a 9-under 279 – to take over the lead with one round remaining. The Cowboys have a 7-under 569 total, which leads Utah (575) by six strokes and first round leader Fresno State (576) by seven.
The No. 47 Buffaloes, the highest ranked team competing here, are by no means out of the hunt for the team title, as CU recorded a second straight 1-over 289 score for a 2-over 578 total.
