CU Hangs In Despite Being Down A Player
WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i — The University of Colorado men's golf team, down a man because of illness, did its best to hang in there Friday, slipping just one spot into an 11th-place tie after two rounds of Hawai'i-Hilo's 27th annual Amer Ari Invitational, the Buffaloes' first tournament of the spring season.
Top-ranked Oklahoma State took over the lead, as the Cowboys used a 21-under par 267 score in the second round for a 29-under 547 total. No. No. 3 Georgia Tech and No. 13 Texas Tech are tied for second, but still in the hunt, nine strokes back at 556.
