USAFA, Colo. — The University of Colorado men's golf team opened its fall season here Friday, ending the first round of the year tied for second place in the 50th annual Gene Miranda-Air Force Falcon Invitational.
The Buffaloes turned in a 3-under par score of 285, the third straight year and the eighth time in school history CU has opened with a team score under par. New Mexico State owns the lead with a four-under 284, while Weber State matched CU's score. UC Davis is in fourth (286) and defending tournament champion Wyoming rounds out the top five at 287.
