PALO ALTO, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team used the fourth best score of the day overall and the best in the afternoon session Friday as the Buffaloes are in ninth place after two rounds of Stanford's "The Goodwin."
Host and No. 14 Stanford extended its first-day lead from two to seven strokes, as the Cardinal had an 8-under 272 team second round score for an overall 20-under 540 total. No. 51 SMU remained in second but was joined by No. 47 Nevada with 13-under 547 totals, while No. 9 Washington and No. 11 Georgia Tech shot identical scores for the second straight day and slipped into a tie for fourth at 12-under 548.
