CHULA VISTA, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team overcame tough conditions here Tuesday and moved up a spot into a tie for third place after the second round of the 14th Annual Lamkin San Diego Classic.
UCLA shot the best score of the day, an even par 288, and the 118th-ranked Bruins zoomed into the lead with a 1-under team score of 575. Only one other team was within seven strokes of par in the second round, which saw temperatures remain in the 50s and winds gusting at times to 20 miles per hour, putting the wind chill factor in the 40s.
