PALM DESERT, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team moved all over the standings here Friday and eventually settled into a tie for fifth place after the first round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
No. 18 Texas Tech and No. 47 Colorado State are tied for the lead with 2-over par team scores of 290, unusual for this tournament as more often than not, the leaders shoot well under par. But the windy conditions made things tough for everyone; No. 51 TCU is in third, one back at 291, with No. 84 Boise State fourth at 293.
