ALBUQUERQUE — The University of Colorado men's golf team is wedged in the middle of the standings of the 68th annual New Mexico William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, as the Buffaloes are in 11th place after two rounds were completed here Monday.
Texas Tech owns a slim two-stroke lead over host New Mexico, as the Red Raiders posted an 18-under par 558 team score while the Lobos are in at 16-under 560. Several are within striking distance, as San Francisco (562), San Diego State (563) Nevada-Las Vegas (567) and Long Beach State (568) are also within 10 strokes.
The Buffaloes had a team score of 1-over 577, good for 11th place, but seven strokes out of seventh in the deep 20-team field.
