PALM DESERT, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team shot a second consecutive round under par but couldn't make up any ground in finishing seventh here Sunday in the annual Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
No. 39 Georgia Tech held on to its lead, registering the best team score in the final round (11-under 277) to win the tournament with a 16-under 848 score. Charlotte grabbed runner-up honors with a 9-under 855 total, with No. 49 San Diego third (858) and Boise State and Oregon (both 862) rounding out the top five.
The Buffaloes, No. 72 by Golfweek, recorded their best 18-hole team score of young season, a 2-under 286, and finished with a 5-over par 869 total.
