PROVO, Utah — The University of Colorado men's golf team had its best round of three here Saturday, but it was only good enough to move the Buffaloes up one spot into an 11th place finish in the 58th annual Brigham Young's PING-Cougar Classic.
No. 44 and host Brigham Young easily won its own meet, as the Cougars staved off a late charge by Utah Valley in winning with a 40-under par team score of 824. UVU turned in the day's best round (17-under 271) and shaved 10 strokes off the Cougars' second round lead, but still finished eight shots back at 832.
