Golfers Finish 11th At New Mexico Tucker Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of Colorado men’s golf team played a little better here Saturday but the Buffaloes couldn’t dig out of a hole they dug after two rounds, moving up one spot for an 11th place finish in the New Mexico Tucker Invitational.

Host New Mexico, as it often does, ran away with its own meet, leading from start to finish in posting a 24-under par 840 team score. Texas Tech was a distant second, some 19 strokes back with an 859 total. UNLV and Colorado State tied for third at 868, with San Diego State rounding out the top five with an 872.
