The Global Down Syndrome Foundation's Dare to Play Football and Dare to Cheer participants grabbed a bit of the spotlight at Folsom Field on Saturday during Colorado's 56-7 win against Idaho State.
In between the first and second quarters, the cheerleaders with Down syndrome hit the field to perform. Then, during halftime, the Dare to Play Football participants took the field for a game.
CU partnered with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation to host camps this fall for children ages 7 and up with Down syndrome.
CU players helped to conduct a football camp in August, with more than 20 kids attending.
