AUSTIN, Texas – Sitting in 16th place entering the final day of the decathlon, University of Colorado sophomore Andrew Ghizzone climbed six spots to finish tenth, and in the process, recorded the eighth best performance in CU history with a personal record of 6,845 points on Thursday at the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
Ghizzone started his day off early, but successfully, finishing tenth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.32 seconds. Next up was the discus throw where he turned in his second top 15 performance of the day, finishing 12th with a distance of 107-11.
