Evan Battey's status remains in limbo.
A return to practice doesn't appear imminent for Colorado's freshman forward, who was stricken with stroke-like symptoms during the semester break. While CU head coach Tad Boyle remains optimistic Battey's return remains a matter of when and not if, he sounded far less optimistic that comeback would occur with the 2017-18 season still in session.
"It will probably maybe the first week of April before we know something," said Boyle, who added that deadline isn't necessarily definitive. "That's just from what the doctors have told me and the tests that need to continue to be done on him.
