Xavier Johnson has been added to the 2017 Denver Nuggets Summer League roster according to Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pounder averaged 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game during his senior year with the Colorado Buffaloes. He finished his career placed 11th on CU’s all-time scoring list with 1,463 points while also being ranked seventh in all-time three-pointers (130) and games played (127).
The Nuggets have a tradition of keeping in-state talent in-state for their Summer League team, with additions such as Josh Scott and Josh Adams last season. It becomes a wonderful opportunity for Johnson to show off his skills in front of NBA scouts, D-League scouts and even international scouts that will be gathering in Las Vegas to try and add some talent to their team.
