Former Colorado Buffaloes head football coach Gary Barnett was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday.
Barnett, who played receiver at the University of Missouri, was one of 15 individuals inducted Sunday.
Barnett graduated from Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Mo., in 1964 before playing at Missouri.
Following college, he got into coaching, first as a graduate assistant at Mizzou and then as the head coach at Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs for 10 years.
Barnett came to CU as an assistant coach in 1984, working under then-head coach Bill McCartney for eight seasons (1984-91).
