Mason Crosby, Colorado's all-time leading scorer and the best place-kicker in the program's history, was named to the Football Writers Association 75th Anniversary All-America team.
Crosby was the only Buff to make the team released Thursday. He was named second team behind former Georgia kicker Kevin Butler and ahead of third-team selection Tony Franklin of Texas A&M.
Nominations for the 75-member team from were accepted from all FWAA members earlier this year and a Blue Ribbon panle of past FWAA presidents, current board members and officers selected the team this summer. In order to be considered, a player must have been selected to a previous FWAA All-America team from the past 75 years.
