Daylen Kountz’s basketball career took him from Denver East to the University of Colorado.
The next step isn’t taking Kountz far from home, either.
On Saturday, the former Buffaloes guard announced via his Twitter account that he has committed to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Kountz announced after the 2019-20 season, his sophomore campaign, that he had decided to transfer out of CU.
The 6-foot-4 guard will have to sit out a season per NCAA transfer rules, though pending legislation may change that rule before the start of the 2020-21 season. Kountz still has two years of eligibility remaining.
