BOULDER – University of Colorado golfer Brittany Fan has been named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team for her achievement in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year. To be eligible for selection, the student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average and play in half the scheduled competitions.
Fan completed her first season with the Buffaloes posting a freshman school record 74.87 stroke average over 31 rounds. The Pearl City, Hawaii native also had six top 20 finishes and a team-leading 28 rounds in the 70s. Fan also played a vital role in helping CU earn a program-best fifth place finish at the Pac-12 Championships last spring.
