It was, just maybe, the quietest dominating rebounding effort that will be seen this season at the CU Events Center.
While it was the all-around skills of Tyler Bey that took center stage during Colorado's 92-60 Pac-12 Conference win Thursday night against Washington State, redshirt freshman Evan Battey helped Bey and the Buffs batter the visiting Cougars on the glass.
Bey finished with his fifth double-double of the season and the seventh of his career, posting 10 rebounds along with a career-high 26 points. Yet the 6-foot-8 Battey turned in an unusual statistical line, attempting only three shots while grabbing a season-best 14 rebounds.
