LOS ANGELES - The University of Colorado soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 24 Southern California on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The Buffs dug themselves an early hole, allowing a pair of goals in the first 23 minutes. Savannah Levin headed in a cross from Mandy Freeman in the ninth minute for the first goal.
“We didn’t track the runners, not just the first runner, but the second runner too. It was disappointing getting down 1-0 early,” head coach Danny Sanchez said of the early deficit.
Following a foul that was called on the Buffs at the endline inside the box, Morgan Andrews converted the penalty kick in the 23rd minute to put the Trojans up 2-0.
