SEATTLE, WASH. — University of Colorado sophomore John Dressel opened the weekend by posting the fifth fastest NCAA 5,000-meter run time of the season, turning in a performance of 13:42.57 on the first day of the Husky Classic here Friday night at the University of Washington.
WHAT HAPPENED:
Dressel, placed fourth overall in the 5,000 meters in the top section of the elite field, coming in behind Oregon's Edward Cheserek (13:32.59), Colby Gilbert (13:34.85) and Erik Peterson (13:40.90). His time of 13:42.57 is a PR and moves him to sixth all-time for Colorado.
