LAKE PLACID, N.Y.—Senior Anna-Maria Dietze picked up a bronze medal Sunday at the World University Games, coming in third place in the Women's Freestyle Sprint competition at Mt. Von Hovenberg.
Dietze is the fifth know CU skier and first Nordic skier to medal at the Winter World University Games, joining Erika Hogan (bronze, slalom, 2003), Katie Hartman (gold, Super-G, 2013), Erika Ghent (gold, overall and silver, super combined, 2013), and Adam Zika (gold, team parallel, 2017, silver, GS, 2011).
To start the day, Dietze had the third fastest qualification time, just behind teammate Weronika Kaleta (second).
