Mustafa Johnson made a big impact on the field during his first season with the Colorado football team last year. This year Johnson was ready to take on a bigger role off the field, specifically as one of the leaders of a young Buffaloes defense.
Even though it only was a few games, Johnson wasn’t ready to have that off-the-field role be his only contribution to the Buffs for any length of time. That brief relegation to the sideline ended last week, when Johnson returned to the lineup following a two-week layoff due to an ankle injury.
