BOULDER — As a Colorado quarterback, Darian Hagan was part of an eight-game winning streak in the series against Colorado State. That rivalry has been more competitive in recent years, so the quarterback of CU's 1990 national championship team is fired up for Saturday's Rocky Mountain Showdown in Denver.
"It didn't used to be a rivalry," said Hagan, now CU's director of player development. "We always wanted to have a good showing against them. With them beating us two out of the last three years, I think it legitimately has become a rivalry. When we get ready to play CSU, our guys are really tuned in, they're really giving great effort, they understand the magnitude of the game.
