CU women's lacrosse takes slight dip in national polls

As expected, the first loss of the season for the Colorado women's lacrosse team didn't penalize the Buffaloes too steeply in the latest national polls.

CU, ranked fourth in all three polls last week, suffered a 10-6 loss Friday at fifth-ranked Stony Brook and dropped to sixth in the IWLCA Coaches' poll. The Buffs (11-1) slid to fifth in the latest Cascade/Inside Lacrosse and the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine polls.

The Buffs will host their final regular season home game Friday at 3 p.m. against MSPF rival Stanford. The Buffs and the Cardinal, along with USC, are the only remaining unbeaten teams in the league standings.
