After suffering just its second loss of the season, the Colorado women's lacrosse team dropped to ninth in all three national lacrosse polls released Monday.
The Buffs had been ranked fifth in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse and the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine polls, and were sixth in the IWLCA Coaches' poll last week, but after falling 11-5 to then-No. 9 USC on Friday at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Buffs slid to ninth in all three polls.
CU rebounded on Sunday afternoon to rout San Diego State 17-5, getting four goals from Johnna Fusco. Colorado also qualified for its fourth consecutive Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament, which is scheduled April 27-30 in Los Angeles.
