CU women's golf: Buffs tied for fifth after first round in Hawaii

The University of Colorado women's golf team is tied for fifth overall with one round complete at the Pac-12 Preview, played on the par-73, 6,372-yard Nanea Golf Club in Kona, Hawaii.

As a group, the Buffaloes shot 301, or 9-over par. Colorado, ranked 43rd in the latest GolfStat poll, combined to make the second most pars among the 10-team field, tallying 64 in all. The Buffs also had two eagles.

No. 3 UCLA and No. 9 Arizona are tied at the top at 2-under par (290) while Washington is three strokes back.

Junior Natalie Vivaldi posted the best opening-round score for the Buffaloes, shooting an even-par 73 and is tied for eighth place.
