PHOENIX, Ariz. — After the first of three rounds, Colorado's women's golf team is 14th overall at the PING/ASU Invitational as the Buffaloes collectively shot a 21-over 309 on Friday.
The Pac-12 Conference's Stanford leads the event with a 1-under 287. Just one stroke back is the host, Arizona State, which recorded an even 288 at its 6,430-yard, par 72, Papago Golf Course. The team race is very close as the top four are separated by a few strokes. Oklahoma is third (289) and Oregon is fourth (290).
"The bright spot today was Kelsey (Webster) with a 74 in her first collegiate round as a team member," head coach Anne Kelly said.
