The Colorado women's basketball team has filled its assistant coaching vacancy with a familiar face, Julian Assibey.
A year ago, Assibey was hired as the Buffs' video coordinator, but he has always had a desire to get back to the bench as a coach, where he spent the previous seven seasons.
"I'm exited and honored to move into an assistant coach position to help coach Lappe continue to grow this program and contend for national championships," Assibey said in a press release from the school. "We have an awesome staff and I plan to add to that intensity, passion and energy for Colorado basketball.
