Host Long Beach State pulled away late to hand the Buffs a 59-42 loss at Walter Pyramid.
CU (3-4) has lost three in a row, its first three-game skid in non-conference play since early in the 2008-09 season. It's also the first time CU has been below the .500 mark before January since a 2-3 start in 2008-09.
This was also the Buffs' lowest-scoring game since a 57-40 loss to Stanford on Jan. 4, 2013, and its lowest point total in a nonconference game since a 77-40 loss to Seton Hall on Dec.
