The threat of injury looms large at the back of almost any athlete's mind.
Yet after missing all but 12 games because of injury a year ago, Joslyn Hayes entered the 2015 volleyball season focused on staying healthy to an almost paranoid level.
Naturally, the University of Colorado redshirt sophomore promptly went down with an ankle injury early in the second match of the season. Though Hayes initially feared another lost season, her recent run of strong play after returning to the floor has provided a spark for a streaking Buffaloes squad.
Hayes and her teammates will look to keep their recent run intact this weekend in home dates Friday against Oregon State and Saturday against Oregon.
