After sweeping a pair of Pac-12 Conference games and securing a historic win against No. 6-ranked Stanford, the CU volleyball team dominated the league's weekly awards announced Monday.
Naghede Abu became the first CU player to win the Pac-12's Freshman of the Week honor after a big performance against the Cardinal, matching her season-best with seven blocks as the Buffaloes erased an 0-14 all-time mark against Stanford. Abu also turned in a solid effort in Friday's win against Cal, recording five blocks and five kills.
Simpson earned her second Offensive Player of the Week honor after posting a career-high 21 kills Sunday against Stanford.
