It's probably still premature to label it as a signature win. Yet if the University of Colorado volleyball team ultimately achieves its goal of returning to the NCAA tournament, the Buffs likely will look upon their effort Friday night at Oregon as a turning point.
After dropping the first two sets, the Buffs rallied for a thrilling five-set victory, staying alive with a 27-25 win in Set 3 before securing the win against the No. 22-ranked Ducks with 25-23 and 15-12 decisions in the final two sets.
"You talk about grinding it out, and that's just what the team did," coach Liz Kritza said.
