On Friday, as the University of Colorado volleyball team welcomed the nation's No. 1 team to town, the Buffaloes hit the Coors Events Center floor with a fury and passion that gave the USC Trojans all they could handle.
Suffice to say, Sunday was a different story.
The Buffs lacked that same energy against No. 12 UCLA, and the Bruins pounced early and never let up, sending CU to a 3-0 defeat in a Pac-12 Conference showdown.
"After this epic, high-level, great match Friday night, there is a physical component and fatigue is there, but that is something that as high-level players and teams that we have to deal with," CU coach Liz Kritza said.
