The University of Colorado track and field program had a stellar day at the Jack Christiansen Invitational Saturday at Colorado State University.
The story of the day came when senior Gabby Scott destroyed the school record in the women’s 400-meter dash by nearly a full second. Scott, the indoor record holder, won the women’s 400 with a time of 52.34 seconds to break Eileen Gehring’s record of 53.23 back in 2013. Scott now owns the school record in both the indoor and outdoor 400, the 400 hurdles and the indoor 4x400-meter relay.
With her time Scott is now 15th in the nation in the open 400.
