LOS ANGELES — The Colorado women's tennis team suffered a sweep against No.8-ranked UCLA this afternoon, falling to .500 overall this season.
Colorado (10-10, 3-4 Pac-12) picked up a single set win in the No.2 singles match against the Bruins (14-5, 6-1 Pac-12). Monica Malinen took the first set against Ayan Broomfield, but the match was clinched before the second set could begin.
UCLA began the match flexing its two doubles teams ranked in the top-12 in the nation. No.7-ranked Gabby Andrews and Ayan Broomfield swept No.35 Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Malinen 6-0 in the singles match to begin things.
